Bulk Water

We offer bulk water at our convenient fill station located at 211 2nd St SE Tioga, ND, across from Braun Trucking. Our bulk water fill station is a great resource for those in need of water for various purposes such as dust control, agricultural use, and personal use.

To use our fill station, you must stop by City Hall to purchase a pre-paid card. The water rate is $20 for 1000 gallons, and you can choose from well water or treated water. Please note that our water cannot be used for oil field uses.

When using our pre-paid system, simply enter your card and select the amount of water you would like to use. Please ensure that you have a hose with the capability to hook up to a 3-inch outlet. If you need to stop the pump, there is a stop button available, but please be aware that you will be charged for the amount of water you selected. Our pricing system is as follows: $1 = 20 gallons, $5 = 250 gallons, $10 = 500 gallons, and $20 = 1000 gallons.

It is important to treat your pre-paid card like cash as we cannot track how much is on the card without the physical card. Please keep your card safe and secure.

We are proud to offer this valuable resource to our community and hope that you find it useful. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at the City of Tioga's Water Department.

High Water Bill?

As a responsible citizen of Tioga, it is important to be mindful of our water usage and how it impacts our water bills. Sometimes, a high water bill can be caused by factors that are within our control. By being aware of these factors and taking steps to address them, we can help to reduce our water bills and conserve water resources.

One common cause of a high water bill is a leaky toilet. In fact, a leaky toilet can waste a significant amount of water - up to 200 gallons per day. That's more than the average person uses for showering, washing dishes, and doing laundry combined!

There are several signs that your toilet may be leaking, including a constantly running toilet, a hissing sound coming from the toilet, or a visible puddle of water around the base of the toilet. If you suspect that your toilet is leaking, there are a few steps you can take to confirm the leak and determine the cause.

First, check the water level in the toilet tank. If the water level is above the overflow tube, then the problem may be a faulty flapper valve. If the water level is below the overflow tube, the problem may be a faulty fill valve. In either case, these are relatively simple and inexpensive repairs that can be made with the help of a plumber or by a handy DIYer.

Before contacting the city about a high water bill, it's important to rule out any leaks on your property. By taking proactive steps to identify and fix leaks, we can all do our part to conserve water resources and keep our water bills in check.
